I must agree with some of the other service is poor, and the food is good.

Absolutely first rate! The ambience is classy and calm. The service was attentive and perfect. Our party of four ordered a lot of dishes! We started with shrimp risotto, and quail lollipops. Yumm! Then main dishes were perfectly prepared steak, pork, and meatloaf. And sides of Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, potato au gratin, and spinach. Every taste, every dish, was truly scrumptious! Dessert was a caramel, ice cream, chocolate creation. Again, delicious! What a perfect meal, and reasonably priced for how luxurious and delicious it was! Looking forward to returning to this gem!

Absolutely wonderful food and atmosphere! Love this place. My favorite in Little Rock.

We were 23 minutes late for our reservations . No problem they had table ready candle lit! Our waiter was knowledgeable , friendly , kind , and funny! The appetizers were so good!! I could have ordered every one of them but quail and cheese plate were perfect ! For dinner husband had meatloaf dinner . It was 6 stars! I had salad because my farm table cheese plate was so good I was full! We shared bottle of wine , too full for dessert but because it was our anniversary chef sent out ( because our server was so kind ) special kit kat dessert! If you live here you're so lucky to have this gem! If you don't stay at hotel and enjoy this restaurant it will be the most unexpected gift!

I went there on Friday night with my 10 year old and we had the best experience. Our waiter was excellent and was so good with my daughter. He told her whatever you want I will get the chef to make it. He was going to make her a hamburger but she did want something on the menu she got the chicken and waffles on the small plates side and loved it. I got a fried chicken dish recommended by the waiter and it was excellent. We got the s'more bar for desert and loved that as well. My daughter loves going to nice restaurants and I'm sure they don't see many kids but they made our mommy and daughter night so special and we will be back

Mumsy and I ate here three times in our 5 day stay in Little Rock. The first night, we blew in around 8:45 pm having just spent a day traveling. Ah...my Ketel One martini was a nice welcome, along with the rabbit. Mumsy had scallops, which looked fantastic (she liked it). The rabbit was falling off the bone yummy...I'm salivating just thinking about it... The second time we came, I had the quail lollipops which were delicious albeit a tad salty (I like salt, so no problems there), and the butternut squash ravioli, which was a little too heavy on the burned butter front, but still delicious. My dining companions had the turtle soup (which was more like a sauce and not the consomme type soup), and the calamari appetizer, which was awesome. We shared the S'mores and Sticky Toffee Pudding which were decadent and delicious. The last night we wanted something light so I ordered the grits and the Brussel sprouts (both sides) and Mumsy ordered the arugula salad, which were all amazing... Sigh...I would have tried the Fred Flintstone steak for two if I'd had any takers, the duck and the venison if I had stayed longer, but our time was (mercifully) up and it was time to go home. It was definitely the best restaurant in Little Rock!

  • Stefie G.

I haven't been in the restaurant, but ordered their food delivered by Chef Shuttle. It cost quite a bit, but I have to say the food made it worth it. We had the duck, kale salad, and two sides. The biggest hit was the Samoa dessert. I will be keeping this place in mind to visit in person and order for delivery again when we want something nice at home.

  • Chris G.

A unique experience awaits at Table 28! We began with Quail Lollipops, a delicacy never before experienced. From My colleague's Tongue and Cheek to my Chicken Waffles, all of our choices satisfied completely. We sampled the Shrimp and Grits, which would do Charleston proud! Each side, and we tried many, had a unique and flavorful presentation. This is a meal you will remember.

  • Capt. M.

I just had another wonderful meal at Table 28! I had the Butcher Steak which is excellent, smaller portion than I expected. The Greatest thing ever are the Brussels! I kid you not! I had never ever even tried Brussel sprouts, and still wouldn't have if not for the persistent suggestion of my waiter. You've just gotta try it you'll love it! I also had the vanilla bean cheese cake.... unreal! They offer a lot of stuff that you won't see in most restaurants, I'm very intrigued by the possibilities! I'll be back

  • Mary H.

My husband and I have been traveling across the U.S. since Jan. This may be our 2nd favorite restaurant (first being Dante's Fire in Tucson). Scott Rains (of San Francisco and then Hot Springs) has created a masterpiece of a restaurant in Little Rock. The fact that it's in a Best Western property and just about every customer but my husband and I were local, says a great deal about this restaurant. Sadly, we weren't very hungry and shared a kale Cesar salad (delicious) and maybe the best burger of the trip! I listened to a waiter describe each dish of the menu to a table of 8 who were sitting near the bar. Had I been at the table I would have just said "you decide because every item sounds fabulous". Finally, since we sat at the bar, a special thanks to Ronnie, who was about the most attentive bartender we've met, to say nothing of the mixology skills he brings to Table 28.

Always consistent with food quality.. Enjoy the nice quiet atmosphere.. Try the lettuce wedge salad

    (4)
  • Dale R.

    1. Mediocre service 2. Mediocre food 3. Boring wine list 4. Somewhat overpriced 5. Pleasant atmosphere The bone marrow was the best I've ever had but overall experience was unsatisfactory for a high priced Saturday night dinner...

    (3)
  • Michelle V.

When I decided to stay in and order room service I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the fillet with asparagus and Yukon potatoes. I have never had asparagus that had actually been graded and placed into the meat to develop the flavor beyond what is normal asparagus could be. The potatoes were personally cream also settled underneath the steak and the flavors were really developed in them as well. The steak was surprisingly thick and extremely juicy I barely needed the knife to cut it.

    (5)
  • Allison J.

We had the quail lollipops which where fantastic. The bone marrow was good, but if your weird about texture you may not like. I thought it was very good and worth a try. Dessert we had the sorbet which was also awesome. Expensive place to eat so don't let the $$ fool you. I'd say it was more $$$ to $$$$.

  • Jill L.

Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Have been multiple times and have yet to try a single thing that I didn't like. Definitely one of Little Rock's best places for dinner.

    (5)
  • Travis T.

Short version: A great place for drinks and appetizers; entrées are OK. We went here with a large group, (9 people), so we got to try a lot of different things. They have a long list of appetizers and all the ones we ordered were great - especially the calamari and shrimp & grits. The salads were also great. I had the wedge salad and loved it. Everyone in our group liked their entrées, but nobody loved them. The same was true of dessert, though a few selections others had raved about were not available when we went. We'll definitely try it again, but next time I'm pretty likely to make a meal out of the wedge salad and 3 orders of the shrimp & grits appetizer.

Owner chef in kitchen. Leave him there. He is on fire. The presentation of a menu of interesting,DIFFERENT ways to serve EXCELLENT food made all of us rave. Thin large tender squid slices. Ground quail in a ball, deep friend on a stick. Sea bass almost darkened, cut in thirds and stacked with other elements of a main course Go!

  • Teresa H.

If you are gluten free/celiac disease do not eat here!!! I called ahead to ask if they were gluten free friendly and they insured me they were. The server confidently recommended many choices for me. The dish that I ordered was tasty to be sure. Before we even left the restaurant I was sick. I called the next day to ask if I could get a list of ingredients from the dish. They were all fine, until I asked a clarifying question about how it was processed. Only to find out the chef rolls it out on a wheat flour surface to keep it from sticking together! That is NOT gluten free! They wanted to make things right for me, if only they could take away my symptoms and repair the damage done to my small intestine! I do not have any confidence in the chef of that restaurant or the staff.

The devil is in the details. The food is amazing and beautifully presented, but service is horrible. This is the case with most restaurants in Little Rock. Our waiter served from the wrong side, stacked plates on the table, left dishes from prior courses on the table when serving the next course and took forever with drinks. We sweated through our meal despite advising the waiter that it was too stuffy in the packed dining room. When are the chefs in Little Rock going to realize that their hard work goes to hell when it's served in a shoddy manner? This place could easily be the best restaurant in town if everything else was up to par with the food.

  • Will S.

Great food. Seriously. Everything I and my wife ate was splendid. Here's the thing-Don't take someone you are trying to impress here because it's in the basement of a best western hotel. If you aren't a hater this will be fine. If you and your company are snobby then seek elsewhere.

    (4)
  • Laura F.

Really wonderful meal. Even the salad dressing was stellar. Our waiter was very attentive. Perfect anniversary dinner restaurant. We were hesitant to go at first because it is in a hotel but ended up very happy that we found this place.

Located In the Best Western in West Little Rock but don't let that fool you. This place is a hidden gem within Little Rock. Atmosphere is adequate and not extremely intimate. The menu was surprisingly daring for Little Rock. Try the bone marrow..it will surprise you.

  • Kenneth F.

My wife and I had a great meal at table 28. The service was impeccable. We started off with quail lollipops which were excellent. My wife had the filet and I the duck, both were incredible. The pig and chocolate dessert was tremendous. We will definitely be back.

Holy freaking cow. One of the best 5 restaurants in LR, no doubt. Chef Scott is innovative and brilliant. Food was amazing from Oxtail to Quail to Beef Tongue and Cheeks. Dessert was amazing. Dont let the setting Best Western scare you off. This place is the real deal and amazing. Service is top notch. Manager Shawn is dedicated to customer satisfaction. Chef is dedicated to your stomach and soul being siesta satisfied. I love this place. Give them your business. You deserve an amazing meal. Dont waste your time at the other nonsense in town.

Table 28 dazzles. We were so impressed with this place; from Chef Rains' menu, the quality food and the wonderful staff (Ronnie and several others) who were able to accommodate us in our atypical situation. I was ordering catering for a corporate jet filled with CEO/VP and executives of a prominent kitchen/food company. I wanted to treat them to some quality, interesting new tastes during their busy work travels. I researched and saw Table 28 and their menu looked enticing. I ordered the Alaskan Salmon, Sea bass with chipotle butter, Chicken Tandoori Masala, Butcher Steak with Chimichurri sauce, Caeser Kale, Lettuce Wedge, Stawberry/Arugula salads, Buttermilk mashed potatoes with Boursin, grilled asparagus, and the mixed oyster/shiitake mushrooms with mozzarella (ridiculously tasty). The food came out perfect. Everyone was very impressed. I love how Chef Rains had basic food entrees and they were not overdone with flavor...but just right, coupled with their accompanying sauces and sides. And they were so well-organized in packaging all the dressings/sides/garnishings so I knew what went with each meal. Through it all, it most likely wasn't their typical dining situation, but the Chef called me to discuss the details a day or two ahead which led to a smooth transaction. Thank you to Table 28 and their staff for the wonderful, delicious experience. I know Little Rock has all types of things to experience but I'd fly back here just to eat at this place... :D

Ok first comes the most important part: This chef knows how to prepare meat! Really really good stuff! I wish him and the staff all the best. HOWEVER! I would rate T28 higher if it weren't for our amateur waiter who, for starters didn't know on which side to place a knife much less from which side to serve and clear. Basic! Then the wine deal. First of all the easy fix: the wine list is limited and misleading. Wines are listed in groups of varietals. Fine. But each wine in those categories only lists the vineyard and origin! Fortunately I know enough of these wines and the grapes to make an informed choice. Ok back to doofus: They were out of my first choice of wine. Ok so i made a second selection. He brought a different wine than what I had ordered as a replacement choice. Ok fine but getting annoying... NOT fine: This unlisted wine I had never seen, heard or approved of arrived while I was in the restroom...and heres the kicker...he proceeded to open and serve this wine I had never seen to our table!!! While I was away!! Hello! What if I had wanted to make a different call!?! It was good wine but that really pissed me off. Then not so amazingly...clueless as he is... he had the brass to assume I had never tried hangar steak...HOW would he know? There's more but I have said enough about this numbskull. Look, I recognize finding qualified wait staff is a big challenge in this town... you just need hire the ones with potential and train them. It isn't that hard or expensive to do. And this may be nit picking but the typeface on the menu is elongated and difficult to read. Looks stylish but misses the mark. Great meat though!! Keep it up!!

Probably best food in Little Rock according to my selections! The rabbit was very succulent and the quail pops were inventive and delicious! My husband had the hanger steak which was also cooked perfectly, but he kept coming back to the rabbit( so delicious!). Our waiter Jim was very friendly and a perfect server! It is a little pricier than some of the other restaurants but worth it if you want an evening of fine dining. Everyone needs to try this restaurant so it never goes away! It's a refreshing change to LR's restaurant selection.

Last evening was our fourth time to have dinner at Table 28 and it gets better each time. The specialty cocktails are delicious and the food is creative and fresh. The menu combinations may read a little weird but trust this chef. He knows what is good! I have tried a different entree each time but always the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I have always had a great experience with the waitstaff as well.

We visited Table 28 with another couple on a Friday night. We made reservations thinking it would be packed, but there were only a few other diners that evening. As word gets out how fabulous the food is here, I am sure we will need to make reservatons for any future visits. My hubbie and I decided to go tapas-style because of all the wonderful choices on the app menu. YOU MUST TRY THE BONE MARROW. If we were not in a fine dining establishment, I would have licked the rest of the remaining marrow off the bone. We also decided on the shrimp and grits, oxtail, and the chicken and waffles. The couple we were dining with had the sea bass and the tongue. Both of them raved about their food. We finishe the meal with the bread pudding (so-so) and the smore's bar (worth every calorie I ate. Great wine and cocktail list. This place has some innoventive dishes and we like to try different things. Have a sense of adventure when you dine here. It is wonderful.

there's good and bad: 1. we had excellent service, friendly and attentive. 2. excellent salads, huge portions and good croutons on the kale ceasar. 3. two of us had the hangar steak and one was significantly over cooked. additionally we both agreed that it was the toughest and chewiest steak we'd ever had. granted, it's not known as the tenderest cut but both were so tough it was remarkable. 4. another had the filet medium rare that came out medium well... flavor was good but obviously way over cooked. 5. chicken masala was good but somewhat small. also no draft beers...
